Stamping involves both Color and Texture to
concrete, replicating the look of brick, stone, slate, wood, and many other
textures. Durable, Versatile, and being very attractive are reasons why
stamping is becoming so popular.
Stamping is done on freshly poured concrete and can be done on both vertical
and horizontal surfaces. Color is added to the concrete by one of the
following methods:
• Integrally - The color is added to the concrete before it is placed.
• Dry Shake Method - Color hardener is added after the concrete is placed,
coloring the surface.
• Release Agents - Added after the integrally or dry shake methods giving the
concrete a second color.
After the color and while the concrete is still in its plastic state,
impression mats are used to give the concrete its texture. C.R. Cook's
Concrete uses the highest grade materials and products. In freshly poured
concrete either steel of fiber is used for reinforcement and the surface is
sealed for integrity and longevity.
